Sample Learning-Centered Syllabuses

We share these syllabus documents with the permission of their authors, and share with the these further understandings:  

  1. We’ve shared these sample syllabuses as PDFs by agreement with the writers of each document. And, if you require a non-PDF version as part of accommodation access, please (1) make a document conversion request with your disability resource center or office; or (2) if that support is not available, do send an email to cei@umn.edu to request a word or google document version, making sure to include a link to the original PDF version.   
  2. If you directly quote passages from a syllabus, you will attribute that passage to the author via their anonymized name along with the course title.
  3. Please do not share the syllabuses digitally or in person. Instead we ask you to guide colleagues and students to either the “Course and Syllabus Design” teaching resource on the Center for Educational Innovation’s webpage: cei.umn.edu, or to the “Sample Learning-Centered Syllabuses” google folder.
  4. These documents may not be posted to any other website without the express permission of the syllabus writer(s). To make such a request, please send an email to cei@umn.edu with a subject line that states your wish to share items in the Learning-Centered Syllabus google folder.
